1. What are the technical requirements for using your services?

WEBIRING’s services are compatible with almost any Internet browser with the Adobe Flash Player installed (version 10.3 or higher). You can check your browser’s Adobe Flash Player version or download the latest version of this software here. If you are going to use our services in your corporate networks, please request the access to the 1935 (RTMP) port from your system administrator, otherwise data flow may be tunneled, data transmission may be slowed or your connection may be interrupted in case the Internet connection speed is lower than 1 Mbps.




2. What speed of the Internet connection is required for using your services?

For using WEBIRING’s services with no video data transmission the speed of 256 Kbps (0.25 Mbps) is enough. For video data transfer the required speed is 512 Kbps (0.51 Mbps). For simultaneous transfer of video data and desktop sharing you need to have the Internet connection of no less than 800 Kbps (>0.8 Mbps). 3. Can other participants of web conferences view my desktop?

Yes, they can. To start your desktop sharing click the "Share Desktop" button and choose the desktop area for sharing. If there’s a message "The Java plug-in needs your permission to run", choose "Always run on this website".


4. What is required for desktop sharing?

Our services require Java-applet for desktop capture, that’s why you need to have Java installed on your computer. You can check whether you’ve Java plug-in installed here. In order to download and install Java for your Windows 7/XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008, please click the button below: to Load Java In order to use WEBIRING’s services in corporate networks you should request the access to the 9123 (RTMP) port from the system administrator to prevent tunneling of data flow, slowing of data transmission or interruption of your Internet connection for the Internet speed lower than 512 Kbps


5. I can’t switch language in the chat. What should I do?

Such problem sometimes occurs in the Google Chrome browser in the Windows XP OS. To switch the chat language please hold the key Shift and double click Alt or Ctrl respectively instead of using the hot keys combination Alt+Shift or Ctrl+Shift. You can also click the language icon in the task bar (in the lower right corner of the display).


6. I hear echo while conversation. What’s the matter?

Echo appears in case someone of the participants uses exterior dynamics too close to the microphone. To avoid echo you should use earphones or a headset, otherwise you’ll need to turn the volume down or move the microphone away from the dynamics.
